Topaz Remask constant errors no matter how little memory I allot!
Three different errors: tliremask10.dll - cannot load
Changed my Photoshop Ram to 25% - ProcEngine: error code: -878
Changed my Photoshop Ram to 40% - ProcEngine: error code: -878
Changed my Photoshop Ram to 55% (946 mb available) - ProcEngine: error code: -878
Yesterday it was ProcEngine: error code: -1000 no matter what I did.
I've restarted it, re-installed it and still it does not work. I've read all of your forums and tried all of the suggestions. I would like to purchase this before the $29.99 special is over if you can get it to work.
I am a professional photographer who built a mega computer to deal with very large raw files. My computer is not the problem.
Please help me!

Inappropriate?Does it happen if you use a small image, say 500x400?
We are working on a similar issue that happens on large image. Just need to make sure it is the same issue. -
Inappropriate?I just tried it on a few small images and seems to work just fine. But, I don't work on small images.
I’m undecided

Inappropriate? Thanks for the info. We will have an update early next week on this issue. We are on it right now and already have some good idea on how to solve this problem.

Inappropriate?Thank you! I look forward to using this product!

Inappropriate?I got an email from your company to download Remask version 1.02 from your website and re-install it. I did and it still does not work on large files - procengine code -1000. I adjust my available RAM again up and down, restarted photoshop and still it does not work. Please let me know when you get this program working as I am eager to use the program I've purchased.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi Aimea_s,
What is your RAM size on your computer? What is the image size, Width x Height, start to cause the problem? Is it Intel CPU or AMD CPU?
Try to downsize image to half of the original size. If that works, you can upsize the mask back to the original image size and copy it back. -
Inappropriate?First of all, let me say that I purchased Remask on Sept. 27th and still haven't been able to use it on a single image, regardless of how small I resized it! I'm getting the very same error message that most of the posters on this board are getting, despite the suggested adjustments to PS3's memory allocation. Yes, I am running an AMD proc. in my HP desktop, but was told that Remask never had an AMD problem to begin with, so that is not the issue here.
I have been a loyal supporter of Topaz Labs' products and currently use several of them on a regular basis, but it seems that more times than not, we have been given the role of "beta testers" after the official release of their products. I'm a professional photographer and simply don't have the time to debug the software that I purchase. It's as simple as that!
I'm very excited about the potential that Remask has and am hoping that a solution to our problems can be found soon, but in my opinion, Topaz Labs really needs to implement a more thorough beta program prior to putting their products online. It's just good business practice.
I’m not a happy camper!

Inappropriate?Hi Lucky,
Thanks for your feedback.
I sincerely apologize that you have not been able to use Topaz ReMask.
As of 10/6 we have uploaded a ReMask update to help with the ProcEngine: error -1000 and 878 messages.
If you do not have this update please go to: http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads to get it.
Please uninstall ReMask and clear your temporary internet files.
For Mac you will go to HD -> Applications -> Photoshop -> Plug-ins and drag the ReMask folder to the trash.
For Windows you will go to your Control Panel and use your Add / Remove programs feature.
Then download and install the ReMask update available online at: http://www.topazlabs.com/downloads. When you download please use the “ALT” link. Then reinstall. This will help resolve the memory issue.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but I assure that our developers are still looking into additional speed increases and memory fixes, so if you do experience any additional errors please let me know.
Also, I have noticed that despite the ProcEngine: error -1000 message the programs still creates the mask. Please check to see if this is the same for you.
Additionally we do have a beta testing system in place, but I definitely welcome your comments and suggestions always. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Ashley

Inappropriate?Sorry, but for me, this issue has not been fixed! I just uninstalled my previous version of Remask, cleared my temp files and then installed this latest version of the program and basically, nothing has changed at all. I am still getting the proc-engine 1000 code and the process goes no further. Has anyone else had success with this newer version?
I’m ready to pack it in!

Inappropriate?Hi Lucky,
Thanks for the update. Our developers are still working on some additional fixes for the memory issue. We hope to have these available soon. Additionally there will also be a new ReMask program coming out soon that will already have these memory fixes within the program.
I realize that you are frustrated with not being able to use ReMask, but please know that our developers are diligently working on a solution to help with these issues.
Thank you for your patience. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Ashley
