About the groups.... I can't see my whole post.

I created a group and made a muliple-paragraph first post. However, I can't see much of it once it was posted. It seems to be broken up into twitterish lines, and I don't know how to expand the view to see all the content. Only the first few lines are shown, and paragraphs are cut off. I was expecting something more like a yahoo group post.
