Inappropriate?Grocery stores swamp my mailbox with coupons.
Mail-order companies send huge glossy catalogs.
Transit agencies already send out route maps on request, for free.
Why not a free map for every resident, once a year?
At scale, their first ride as a paying passenger would cover the cost of the mailing.

Inappropriate?I have to admit I'm not a fan of sending out mass mailings. Are there any events that maps could be handed out during? What about in phone books or newspapers, maybe if they came in the Chronicle once a year?
