Add Destination Videos?
Hi there, I was searching YouTube the other day for videos of different beaches in Mexico to see what they REALLY looked like (they always look great in the publicity pics). I noted how disorganized YouTube is and how difficult it is to find quality content over there.
Anywhooo, my suggestion is to add videos to Trazzler. You can keep your costs down through user-generated content, YouTube-style, but you can screen the vids for quality (or have Wikipedia-style moderators do it for you).
I have an idea for a similar site about Higher Consciousness stuff. It will be called Blissfilled (dot com). Am currently looking for advisers, developers and investors *wink wink*
Hope that helps!

I like your idea. Right now we're pondering all of the different directions that the user submissions to the site could take and I think opening it up to include videos further down the line would be interesting.
Beaches can be tricky, can't they? When we find that perfect spot, we tend to guard it like a state secret. One thing that is going to be very different about Trazzler is that we aren't going to require anyone to review certain places. Any Trazzler trip is going to be listed because someone who has been there loved the place or found something about it worthy of documenting. It sounds simple, but most guidebooks and travel sites don't work this way.
I ran across this site a while back...it has a lot of high-quality videos on different destinations in Mexico:

You can choose the Mexican state that you are interested in the "Estados" dropdown. There are quite a few videos under "QUINTANA ROO" a state in the Yucatan peninsula that encompasses the Mayan Riviera.
I just peeked at your blog--wow--what a story. I wish you a lot of luck with your new project. Onward and upward!
Bests,
