Entering routes, addresses and distances into trip searches
Hello Trazzler.
I was just wondering if you were going to incorporate some sort of system, where you can enter a zip code or address and find all the trips with in particular distance. It seems like there is already something, a little bit along those lines, where you enter a town name in the keywords, and most of the trips within about 10-15 miles come up...
But say for example I was going to visit seattle, and I wanted to find something fun within 40 miles of Seattle. I could type in Seattle, and I would get many trips within Seattle. As it stands now, to find something 40 miles south of Seattle, I would have to find the name of a town in that area, type it in. To also find something 40 miles north, I would have to find a town name, type it in... If there was a way to say "Show me trips within 40 miles of Seattle," it would make it even easier to find things in that distance. If I could also add in a caveat of "South," because I knew I would be heading in that direction already... that would be ultra cool... (That way it would just show me trips to the South, and eliminate trips to the north, east and west if I didn't want to travel in those directions.)
Or if there was some way to enter a route in Trazzler? Say I was driving cross country, and I had a few specific towns I needed to stop in? To be able to enter the route in, and find interesting places to stop within fifteen miles of the route.... wow. If I was driving from San Francisco to Boston, I wouldn't want to have to type in the name of every town along my route, just to make sure I didn't miss something really cool.
For instance, type in an address in San Francsico, and one in Portland. Indicate a distance of 5-10 miles, select the activity or experience you are looking for-"restaurant" "hiking" "camping", etc. and it would show trips along the shortest route...
I have no idea how easy or hard it would be to make a feature like this... but I at least think it would be really cool.

Inappropriate?Hey Galen,
All good points. We plan to do a lot with map-based navigation. All of the Trazzler trips have a geolocation and a individual map. Plotting all the trips on master map, with a variety of geo-filtering options, is certainly something that's in the plan. We can't always get to everything as fast as we'd like to with such a small team.
In the mean time, try searching for "Seattle" for example. Once you're on that search result page, there is a "Closest to Me" sort option. Some interesting browsing usually comes of this.
Best,
Adam
