Dude, your Texas chick freelancer hasn't been to the places she is describing. I already wrote an entire two paragraph letter about the chick, that was deleted when I joined the get satisfaction crew, but the gyst of it is her facts are incorrect, her specifics are general and she is bullshitting her way through this.

My thought about this site are that it is written by people who have experienced and want to give others the experience of a place. She hasn't experienced the places she is writing about (at least not the ones I have been too.) she is writing marketing speak.

Many of your other writers are much better at creating an image of a place without resorting to using brochures from the places or historical data found on wikepedia.

example: in her trip about Gruene Hall, she says that regulars sit by the front door ready to talk---The regulars in Gruene don't go to Gruene Hall anymore except on Saturday afternoons or Sunday mornings (do you hang out in your towns tourist trap?) No, they hang out at the bar down the street. The only people that hang out at the entrance to Gruene Hall are the band members before their gig or the bartenders before it gets busy.
