I'm a travel writer with a unique proposal for Trazzler--how do I submit this?
Okay, I admit I'm a bit confused about your process. I'm a professional writer (includes travel writing--was an editor for 3 years of a travel pub.) and would like to write for Trazzler. Have also written travel planners for American Express--my style is witty, sophisticated (not snobby) yet highly conversational using lots of descriptive prose. Used to be an improv comic. Am planning on going around the world with a unique purpose & would love to submit my proposal to Trazzler. I clicked on Request Access, said it received my application though I didn't really apply (did I?). What happens now? Does Trazzler contact me?

Here's a breakdown of the process (you should also receive these instructions in the email that you get when we approve your request for writer access).
Get your account set up so that you can write trips:
1. Create a Trazzler account. You will receive a confirmation email.
2. Request writer access at http://trazzler.com/about/write-for-t....
3. Wait to receive the confirmation email granting writing access.
Write some sample trips:
1. Log into Trazzler.com (if you aren't already logged in).
2. Click on "My Trips" at the top of the page.
3. Under "Write a Trip" enter the name and location of the place you are writing about and click "Search."
4. On the next page you will be prompted to select the place (if it is in our database) or add a new place (if it isn't).
5. You will then be able to create the trip page by filling out the information on the following "Write a Trip" page.

6. Including a photo is entirely optional. Please feel free to write trips for places for which you don't have photos.
7. You are free to edit your trips as much as you like by clicking "edit" on the Trip page or under My Trips.
Apply for an open Trazzler position:
1. Once you have your trips exactly the way you want them, go to My Trips.
2. Click on the "Work for Trazzler" promo in the right column.
3. Read over the job information and click "Apply."
Once you apply, we promise to read each and every trip that you submit and you will automatically go into our pool of potential paid freelance writers. We will consider you for one of our other positions. As our funding grows in the next few months we'll be adding more writers so don't despair if you don't hear back from us right away. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy browsing Trazzler and send any trips that you write to friends and family.
