Is it time to change Arizona's laws?
Hello, Trazzlers! Which Arizona statute prohibited my state's residents (OK, me!) from winning Trazzler's summer contest? If you think it would be helpful, I would like to write my representatives to see if we could get that law changed!

Inappropriate?Hi Julie--
I can't seem to get Google to give up the exact statute number, but Arizona is the only state that requires advance registration for skills contests (other states require this for games of chance and sweepstakes). For our summer contest, we ran out of time and weren't able to get this done prior to the start date--sorry about that! We hope to bring Arizona back in for future contests.
best,
Megan -
Based on your description, I believe I've found the statute: ARS 13-3311. Would you mind if I were to ask my legislators about changing it? Does this law make Phoenix ineligible when you run a contest like this month's, asking people to Trazzle about specific locations? Does it make Arizona-based writers ineligible to win any of your contests now? -
Inappropriate?Hi Julile,
We're confident we can include Arizona residents in future contests.
