Susan's question and Galen's solution
I also wonder what Susan asked - how do I know if my trips have been read? I also like Galen's idea to let writers know a rough status of their trips.
After I discovered Trazzler it took me a while to get going with it. I finally have 4 submissions now, but I know you prefer at least 10 - correct?
Anyone who submits is hoping to be hired at some point (I would assume). It would be nice to get some sort of feedback - do I suck at this? Do you like my stuff? Am I wasting your time and mine? I have SO MANY trips I could write! I've traveled quite a bit and have thousands of pictures to use for my trips. I love doing this. Your format fits me perfectly. But just because my friends and family like my trips doesn't mean that you will.
It seems your staff could easily become overwhelmed. I appreciate that you are working on optimizing the site. I'll try to be patient while waiting for feedback....
Thanks,
Tracy Sanders

Inappropriate?Hi Tracy,
We've hired writers who submitted one trip. We've hired writers who submitted a bunch. All we ask is that you submit at least one. It's up to you and what you feel comfortable with.
There are a variety of reasons folks submit. Not everyone wants the responsibility of a freelance gig.
We're working on make the feedback process better. Thanks for being patient with us.
Best,
Adam -
Thank you for clarifying your hiring process. And it's good to realize that people submit for a variety of reasons (duh).
I recently checked out 71miles.com and was instantly addicted. I've been to CA several times and have barely scratched the surface. Now I'll have 50 more places to add to my wish list. It would be nice if there was a similar site for Canada. (I just reminded myself to search Trazzler for Canadian trips). It would be even nicer if we could all get paid to travel.... -
Inappropriate?Glad you like our websites Tracy! 71Miles came first... John Vlahides is a great writer. The original plan was to have a network of local travel sites with 71Miles - Northern California as the model. It eventually evolved into Trazzler instead.

Inappropriate?Yes, I am enjoying Trazzler too. (And agree that traveling would be a nice profession.)

Inappropriate?Hi Tracy & Galen, thanks for asking this question and proposing a solution. We're on the same boat. I've traveled all over California and different states (and internationally; originally from Indonesia) and done interesting activities. I've had so many stories written over the years and have a lot of accompanying pictures. I can write many more and love doing this too. Trazzler's vignette format just fits.
Adam (hi!), thanks for all you do and looking forward to see the new system implemented!

Inappropriate?Glad you're on board with our new feedback system. It's working on our development site and should be live by next week.
Look forward to seeing your new trips... sounds like you've got plenty in the hopper.
Best,
Adam
