When will my trips be reviewed? Review pending for a month
I've submitted two trips (about a month ago) that still labeled as "user trip" with the status of "review pending". When will they be reviewed?

Inappropriate?Hi Chrystal,
Thanks for getting in touch. We read every trip that comes through and
we're a bit backlogged, so it can take a little while. We're working
hard to speed our review process in the future. Thanks for being
patient with us, and apologies for keeping you waiting.
Best,
Adam -
Thanks Adam. BTW, is the usual review period 2-3 months? -
Inappropriate? Our goal is to review trips much faster than that. I think our average is probably faster than that. But in some cases we've taken that long.
-
Thanks again Adam, perhaps I'm Impatient and don't like waiting (LOL). I'll try to practice the ways of Zen for a bit longer, wish I knew the ways of Zen.
Again thanks. I'll leave you alone so you can do what I'm nagging you to do. Thanks for being nice about it. -
Inappropriate? That is a fair question and I do understand workload varies. However, based on my experience with two other on-line publishing sites, they are much faster to respond. (Average is 2-4 days)
-
Inappropriate? Thanks Richell for your comment, and I am in agreement that the average is 2-4 days, not 2-4 MONTHS, as in my case.
I've given up on waiting for my initial posts to be reviewed, which after all this time, still indicate 'review pending'. Although my posts were prior to the NYCGO, it appeared only the contest posts received priority reviews. The only one that indicates 'read by editor' is the contest post, the other two still state 'pending review'. As such, I've discontinued my submissions.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi Chrystal--
Our apologies. Your trips were evaluated before we had the ability to mark trips as read, so it is taking us longer to get those trips up to speed. Before, we read the trips in the exact chronological order in which they were added--now we are going back and giving everything a second read so we can mark the trips as read--we're almost all caught up).
Hi Richelle--
The difference between Trazzler and "review" sites is that we publish your writing immediately. Then, our editors read through all of the submissions very carefully and choose the best (on average 1-3 out of every ten submitted) to get wider distribution on our site. Writers of these "Trazzler Trips" are also eligible for freelance contracts. It is a much more selective sort of evaluation process than you would find on sites like TripAdvisor, Virtual Tourist, etc. The user trips that aren't selected as Trazzler trips are still viewable and searchable on our site and via search engines.
I hope this helps.
best,
Megan -
Hello Megan,
I notice you were able to finally mark my post (today) as being read, hope you get caught up soon on your remaining backlog. I can image staying current can sometimes be difficult.
BTW, I considered Trazzler's freelance contract opportunity, but after my posts had not been (marked as) read I was reluctant about doing so. During my long absence from Trazzler, I've been able to sharpen my skills and think I have a better handle on the content Trazzler prefers. I just simply have to apply my Internet Marketing writing skills to the travel projects.
Well I must run, the three writing projects I have in my in-tray aren't going to write themselves, so I best get cracking. I'll check back later.
@Richelle, Thanks again for your comment which apparently prompted getting my posts (marked as) read. As I said, I didn't see the point in continuing to provide submissions if they weren't going to get read for 3-4 mos. down the road or not at all. And the best to you in your writing endures. -
Inappropriate?Hope you'll get to mine soon too. 3.5 months and waiting...

Good luck Oceannaire, seems we were in the same boat, Perhaps you can combine the answer I was given with the one given to you - either way, your trips are probably marked by now. Additionally, It appears from the answers to the Writers concerns, that there are a huge amount of submissions along with a huge backlog, so once they get a handle on the backlog things should probably run a little smoother. Hiring additional reviewers to reduce the backlog may be something Trazzler may wish to consider, as it would be helpful. Keep writing. -
Not yet; hopefully very soon. I think somehow my posts were just missed the first time around. A couple of them didn't even have photos, so I doubt they ever got reviewed. Thanks. -

Inappropriate?Hi Oceannaire--
Your trips were submitted in early/mid July, just prior to the launch of our tool that allows us to mark trips as read. That batch is getting a second look this month so we can mark them all as read one by one.
best,

Inappropriate?Hi Megan,
I caught the post on Craigslist; I happen to live in San Diego (and have been for the last five years). There's only one post submitted regarding an activity in the area, but I'll dig through my personal stories.
Regards,
Nathalia
