Delete contact without removing history

Every now and then, I do a little cleanup, to streamline my operations ( doesn't that just sound awesome?) and one part of the cleanup results in me cleaning out my address book on TMT.

I was just about to delete a contact of mine, when TMT warned me that this would also remove the history with said user.

I think that this should either unlinked, so that I can delete each part individually, or, failing that, provide the user a choice during the actual deleteion, say a checkbox.
