Drag and drop ordering of sms messages in treasure my text.
I am not very organised as to when I send my texts. I may send a bunch of received messages then a bunch of sent messages, which relate to each other, but are disordered on treasure my text. Date I send them in is mostly irrelevant.
I would like to be able to order them by dragging and dropping as they often end up out of order - and I like to read them as a conversation in "saved messages"

Inappropriate? It's a nice idea and thanks for sharing it. I think some others have talked about a similar thing.

Inappropriate? This idea should definitely be implemented. The whole idea of saving text revolves around being able to return and read them. I'd like to be able to order the texts by date and time so i might read the text messages as the fluid conversation I experienced while having it via my cell phone.
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I see that it's been a year since this was suggested -- I hope the company is still working on this!! I have tried every way I can think of to have my text messages appear in the right order when I send them from my phone (sometimes I am backing up a whole months' worth of messages at one time), but so far they are always in the wrong order. If drag and drop was enabled I think everyone's problems would be solved. :) Please please please make this feature a part of treasuremytext!!!
I’m hopeful

Inappropriate? The messages are now ordered by date. If you set the correct date for your messages then they'll appear in the correct order. To change the date just click on it where it appears yellow and fill it with the Calendar. Next time you load the page they'll appear in the right place depending on there date.
-
Inappropriate?Yes, I have used the calendar to organize by changing the dates -- the only problem is, this takes forever! If you have 127 messages and they're all in ascending order instead of descending order, from being forwarded from your cell phone, trying to go through and change the dates on every single message to get them to go in reverse order is extremely tedious. :(
-
Inappropriate?Do you want them to go backwards so it's oldest first? Dragging and dropping to reorder everything also sounds a bit tedious present a few issues like how to navigating to different pages of messages whilst dragging.
-
Inappropriate? That's true... well, my problem seems to be that my phone separates long SMS messages into several separate messages (as most carriers do). For some reason, instead of these messages showing up in the order of top-to-bottom in TMT, they have to be read bottom-to-top, which is annoying. For example, instead of a separated text going like this:
Hi, how ar
e you? I am fi
ne.
It goes like this:
ne.
e you? I am fi
Hi, how ar
I've tried sending messages I wanted to show up last, first; and vice versa; but somehow they're still mixed up.
I'd appreciate your suggestions! :)
-
Inappropriate?Aha, that's a seperate issue and definitly annoying. Long sms should be getting stitched back together into a single message. This happens in most cases but we know there are some incompatibilities with various phones and networks that we haven't been able to find a fix for. We unfortunately don't have any other suggestions we can give just yet - we'll let everyone know if and when there's any news on this.
-
Inappropriate?Ohh, okay, I see! I'll keep my eye out then. :)
Looks like I need to change the dates still for a while, at least for the long messages. lol
In general, though, -- SMS messages are supposed to show in ascending order, in the order that you forward them to TMT, right? So if I want my more recent messages to be on top then I would actually forward them last?
Thanks so much for getting back to me!
