I can't register my old number because it is 'Locked'
When registering a new account with a number which you have previously used with another account you may encounter that the number is 'Locked' and therefore cannot be registered.
A number is locked to use with a single account after it has been used to send outbound SMS. To reuse the locked number return to the original account you first used it with and enter the number in your profile.
If you have deleted this previous account and can't do this then you need to contact us to have this number reset after which you'll be able to register it again.

Found the problem. You had messages saved already from this new number you were trying to use and an account for that number was automatically created.
You can't then swap your number to that because it's already been reserved by what might be another user. You need to swap to any new number first before saving messages from that number.
If you have this problem either complete the registration of the new account and then delete it or if you have a lot of messages saved there, contact us and we'll move the messages across to an existing account.

Inappropriate? My problem is similar to this but the site says my number is registered already when I tried updating my number. I tried using the password recovery as the site said but the number isn't registered (which is true). This number is the original number I was using when I first registered but changed.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Ok, just for clarification, you registered first with a number lets say '123' (and that number got locked) you since changed that number on your account to say something like '234', and now you want to change the same account back to your original '123' number, have I got that right?
-
Inappropriate?Basically, yes. I don't receive a "locked" message, the sites says that it's already registered.

Inappropriate?Send the number your trying to use over to support@treasuremytext.com and I'll take a deeper look.
