Longer Texts split
My text messages are usually quite long (split into between 2 and 7 messages when sent). Will they always arrive at TMT split up or is there a way of putting them back together again? I'm on Orange.

Inappropriate?Are they arriving as split up now in TMT? They shouldn't be because we do support long SMS and they should be being displayed as one single message. If not send your login information to support@treasuremytext.com and we'll look into it.2 Comments

Cingular (HTC) 3125 on AT&T (former Cingular) network.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the info Laura, we found a problem where we don't put back together again your long messages properly. We think this is a problem with us and your phone (SE K800i). We're going to see what we can do!

Inappropriate?Quick update on this. We've just got hold of a k800i for testing and we'll let you know the results.

Inappropriate?We've tested it out and it annoyingly works fine. There maybe a setting somewhere which is different, we'll carry on further testing.

I sent 2 long messages, both prefixed with the # sign, yet both showed up on my Twitter account (boo!) and both arrived split into pieces.
My phone is a XDA Flame and I have never had this problem before.

Inappropriate?This is a separate issue. The first part of your message is sent to us twice, when this happens we bail out but I think we can do something about that. It happens very rarely but it does happen.

Inappropriate?We are indeed tweeting private messages, hold off on that function until we fix it.

Inappropriate?We have added a small fix for the problem you experienced Kerim, also now private messages should not be being tweeted. This fix doesn't relate to the problem Mudkin has which we're are still trying to replicate but without success.

Inappropriate?Small but significant progress update. We have discovered that certain combinations of handset and network operator do not support the automatic formatting of long SMS that we use to put the messages back together. We are looking for a way to workaround the issue.

Inappropriate?This ones going to be tricky. After more investigation there isn't much in the SMS we receive for us to be able to piece these back together reliably. The only solution for now seems to be to change handset. We'll try to think of a magic workaround.
