Saved texts retaining data from the original sender, date, and time for legal use.

Is there any way that text messages that I forward from my phone to treasure my text can retain the structure of the original text? For instance I have many texts between me and my ex wife where she is not letting me talk to my daughter, using foul language and saying a lot of things via text messages that I want to bring to court coming up very soon to use against her for our custody and child support case. Right now when I forward them here it has no date time or anything connecting that it came from her and not just some fake texts that I made up.. It would be super useful if your product did that as I am sure I am not the only one who needed texts messages in court to show proof.. Thank You! Steve

silly I’m unsure what will happen but hoping the truth will be seen for once in 10 years that I have been dealing with repeated extorsions from the evil thieving liar ex wife that I have. Wish my daughter and I the best please!! We need it..

Hi Steve, totally understand this and why you need that original information and you are not the first to ask

We do have a solution which does just this but it is only available for the iPhone and T-Mobile G1 phones.

When you use Treasuremytext with SMS forwarding there is no way to do this automatically, unfortunately SMS just doesn't give us access to that data and that is stored and kept only by your phone. However......

We have built in solutions for just this problem!

For instance you can both change the date of the message saved and set the phone number from who it is from. You have to do this manually but it will get you what you need, keeping that information which is better than nothing

    1. To change the date just click on it where it is hilited yellow.
    2. To set the person and number click the edit button in the image next to the message.

As a precaution I would keep your original phone and messages which any court could use to verify against these stored the authenticity of the messages you saved on Treasuremytext. I'm no lawyer but I imagine this would suffice.

Thank You Paul! I am amazed at how the cell phone companies be it the cell phone maker and or the providers of cell service have not made the product so that a person can save important texts off of the phones in a non compromised manner in case you need it for court or? I sold cell phones back in 1988 in Redding CA where I live still and they where the big bulky units that were very pricey in the $1000 plus plus prices and in over 20 years I do believe this saving ability is a common sense technology that has been overlooked instead giving us cameras and mp3 players.. I hope they will make this ability a standard option on cell phones at some point in the future as we are living in a time and age of covering your butt is required since liars and cons are running wild and free like roaches. I have been absolutely thrashed by my ex wife with her lies over the past 10 years and if it were not for the love I have for my daughter I would just move away far away lol.. I hope that the fact that I finally figured out to start saving stuff like my texts from her will toast her lies and let the truth shine for once in ten years for my daughter and I. I have already done what you sugested to do as far as editing the sender and dates for her texts so that it would at least be easier for the judge to read and clearly see the conversation with ease rather than having to click around on my phone. I am also going to continue to keep the texts saved onmy phone so I have the originals as proof. I hope I don't recieve any more that are needed to be saved as my phone is so full of the saved texts now that I can only receive 2 or 3 texts and its full.. Thank You once again Paul and also for providing the service that you do. In the future I hope I can forward some humorous texts or something to it to be saved and shared.

    Steve,
Keep all of your cell bills. They should show the numbers for both sent and recieved plus the date and time. More proof that they are real and from her
