I tried to use Treasuremytext in both IE and Firefox. Both have the problem of timing out every 2 seconds.

This is normally experienced if you have cookies disabled as a cookie is used to track your session. In Firefox's settings check that you are accepting cookies from sites and keeping them till they expire.
