Turn off messages on the Treasuremytext homepage.
You need to change the default "Share messages on the Treasuremytext homepage" to OFF right now.
A load of my private messages appeared there and are still accessible, and I've just seen a message clearly private because it included detailed login information for a person.
Another message on there is from a girl giving her first name and surname was texting about her sex life - interesting but obviously private.

Inappropriate? The default on sharing for a new sign up is is off http://www.treasuremytext.com/goCreat...
Can you provide more detail on this? -
Inappropriate?I refer to to "TextStream Sharing" which is across the top of the page in settings on the "sharing Tab". This is making private messages public for those people that don't look in detail at the settings.
-
Inappropriate? That setting is off by default and has to be turned on by a user unless there's something wrong, how did you end up with this or maybe we have some cross twitter / text stream confusion?
-
Inappropriate?I don't know but I know I'm not the only one to have had private tweets shown on the homepage and remaining in the RSS feed. I've turned it off now of course and any future messages should be private until privacy settings can be per folder.
-
Inappropriate? Is this relating to the user of the # character
-
Inappropriate?Maybe we have a bug here but bear with me whilst I try to get to the bottom of what happened. To confirm this was your TextStream sharing enabled or disabled when this occured and what setting are you using now. It also sounds like your saying that you never ticked TextStream sharing but at some point it became ticked without you doing it?
-
Inappropriate?I don't think it makes any use of the # character and it was enabled (by default as far as I know) when it happened.
-
Inappropriate? That option gets it's default from the sharing tick box on the sign up form, is it possible you ticked it then? We're looking into the # problem.
-
Inappropriate? It's possible, I don't remember if I did tick it.
-
Inappropriate? We've updated the twitter behaviour to now honour Treasuremytexts # privacy flag that is used by Textstreams. Now even if you don't have a Textstream turned on the # symbol will also mean don't tweet just to avoid confusion.
