Why can't I send an SMS from TMT using the credit provided?
Hiya, I've just signed up and have forwarded and saved a couple of messages from my mobile phone. Now I want to send an SMS from Treasuremytext using the credit provided. However, I'm getting this message at the top of the window and the 'send' button is greyed out:
"To send SMS first verify your number by saving at least one message.
You will need to logout and in again to activate after saving."
I've logged out and logged back in and even changed browser, but it still won't let me send an SMS. Am I doing something wrong? Cheers, Jo

Inappropriate?In order to be able to send SMS from Treasuremytext, first we need to verify your mobile number. All you need to do is to first save a message at Treasuremytext by forwarding it to one of our numbers.
Once you've done this you'll be able to send outbound SMS.
(The reason we need to do this is because when you send outbound messages we make them appear so they're 'from' your mobile number so that your friends can hit reply and reply right back to your mobile. If we didn't verify that you owned the mobile phone you say you do then it might be possible to pretend to be someone else when sending messages to people!)

Inappropriate?but I've done that, haven't I? I've forwarded messages from my mobile phone to 07781486064 and they've appeared in my account on Treasuremytext. is there something else I need to do?

Inappropriate?Jo ignore Katie :) I've just tested this and there is a bug, your not doing anything wrong.
I'm looking into it now and going to modify things so in the future you don't even have to do the login/logout thing. We will make a fix so that it's available the moment you save a message.
As for now I think you should be able to magically be able to send an sms after about an hour from when you last logged in (sounds weird but trust me, some things take a while to catch up behind the scenes).

Inappropriate?yes, that's what the hurray meant. Thanks for the TMT service, it's very handy, just what I've been looking for for about 4 years (but never actually looked for, IYKWIM), and you've responded ever so quickly today to my teething problems. Cheers :-)

Inappropriate?This issue Jo reported has now been fixed. SMS will be activated as soon as you save a message, just reload the page.
