Inappropriate? For contacts to be automatically recognized by SMS we use number matching and rely on two things to do this.
1. Your phone to append the original number of the person at the start of your forwarded SMS (e.g. "FWD: +310123123 Your Msg"). It sounds like your phone does this.
2. You have created a contact with that number in your Contact/Persons list.
If you don't have that contact but your SMS includes a number we use this to add a new person for you with just their number. You can then edit that contacts information so it has a picture and name etc.
If your using the iPhone application then this works a little differently but is essentially the same.
Does this help? -
Inappropriate?Thanks for suggestion.
I realize that the solution for this issue is to add, on the phone number of any contacts in iphone's address book, the state code number (in my case +39). In this way tresauremytext recognize all contacts... -
Inappropriate?Aah you mean in the iPhone App not in Treasuremytext.com ok that makes things clear.
Yes, the problem is that the iPhone doesn't present numbers in any consistent way (sometimes it has brackets and all kinds of things). We try our best to match between what's stored in the SMS db and whats in Address Book but it's not exact.
Ok so definitely changing your contacts to have the full international number with country code will fix your problem. Other than that we await a proper SDK from Apple for accessing the SMS database.
