Does Triggit only work on PHP based sites?

I just started using Triggit today on my wordpress based blogs and on a Joomla based blog/website and it seems to work just fine. So I thought I'd try it on my large html based website where I tend to make most of my amazon related sales and the triggit widget isn't picking up the fact that I have the code on that site.

If I'm correct and this doesn't work with HTML based sites it would be nice if Triggit could in the future.
