For some reason triathlontrainingblog.com is not a site associated with your username in our system.
Try logging in to Triggit and choosing the My Report Tab. From here choose the My Sites tab, and add your site (triathlontrainingblog.com) there. Usually your first site is added automatically when you sign-up, so not sure what happened there, but give it a go and let me know if that works.
You can get ahold of me direct at sck@triggit.com as well if you have any further questions!
Thanks.
Susan

Hmm. I just went to your website and I was able to open the tool bar there. Are you using an up to date Firefox browser? Feel free to email me at zcoelius@triggit.com is you are still having problems

To make the changes with Triggit you need to make them directly to the site. Not on the write page or manage posts pages on wordpress. Then after you select add triggit and amazon you need to highlight the text. It does not work to highlight the text first.

It turns out that there was a bug in our system that caused the error "login failed: Have you placed your Javascript on this site?" to happen even when it should not have. Our bad. Sorry. It looks like we have fixed it though. Try logging in again and see what happen. Please let us know if it works or not.
Thanks

Inappropriate?Hi,
I just popped the code into my template just below the <body> tag - seems to work great.
Dave.</body> -
Inappropriate? Thanks Dave. Yep, right before the tag is perfect.
-
Inappropriate? The end body tag that is (</body )
-
Inappropriate? The Wordpress template I used has widgets.
I tried putting the code in the sidebar and also just before the tag in the footer.php area of the template.
Neither worked. It was so easy to get Triggit on a blogger blog, but I am stumped with this one.
Any other ideas???
I’m feeling silly
-
Inappropriate?Hmmm, Triggit worked great for me first try.
You have to be careful with WordPress as not all of the template files are used for each page. If you have the Triggit code in your sidebar but Widgets turned on, the code from sidebar.php could be being supressed.
Also, if you drop the code into index.php it'll only get called on your blog homepage.
To ensure my Triggit code always gets called, I put it into the header.php file just after the opening body tag - this way it will always get added no matter what page you're viewing.
Check out my site and view source if you want to see it in place - http://www.d13design.co.uk/wordpress/
Hope this helps,
Dave.

Inappropriate? How do I do edit the template code in wordpress, when I have my blog hosted on wordpress.com itself.
-
Inappropriate? Is it ok to place the code in the footer between the <body> </body> tags?
-
Inappropriate?Yep - slapping it in the header works swell.
Of course, there is this kind of weird editing experience, where you make the text portion of your post, save it, then visit the post and add the triggit... little wacky!

Inappropriate?i'm using a wordpress template that has .css and I put the triggit code inside the .body section...but nothing's showing up. i'm a total newbie at editing code like this... can anyone tell me where i'm supposed to put it inside the template? clearly, i'm not in the right place
I’m confused and frustrated

Inappropriate?Blog A - Works fine for over a week now
Blog B and finally C just tried now, not working, I get this -
Login Failed: Have you placed your Javascript on this site?
Yes code is in the right place - right before
Yes I can see the script in the source code
Yes I can still log in and out and use Triggit on the original blog
Is there a limit on domains? Maybe only one per account?
bummer - I was making a video for my blog showing how easy Triggit was! -
Inappropriate?just tried from another pc - same deal - I can log in and out of the riginal blog, but not on the second or third

Inappropriate? My blogs are in WordPress, hosted on our own server. I placed the code in the header.php file as per the post above. When I try to use Triggit, I get this:
Login Failed: Have you placed your Javascript on this site?
I tried to use it in both the "write post" screen and also on the public post itself (where the header loads). Same error.
I’m annoyed.

Inappropriate? Now I don't get the error code. Triggit loads into the toolbar, but it still doesn't work. If I roll over the "add triggit" or the "preferences" menu items, they do highlight, but no menu appears below them (as per the video) and clicking them does nothing.
If/when this works, do you make these additions on the "Write Page" page in WordPress? -
Inappropriate? If I go to the "Write Page" or "Manage Posts" pages, I do get the menus. I set my preferences, but still can't create links. If I select text in the post code, then click on "Add Triggit" and "Amazon" and then any of the options, I get the message "Please select some text" on the side of the Triggit menu. This happens when I DO have text selected.
I’m ackk.
-
Inappropriate? For some reason, when I click on the Triggit (Im logged in), the toolbar does not show up on my website. I had success with it before but now it works for any other website that I go to but not mine.
Can someone please please help me ASAP. I really need to know why this is happening. I have some links I need to as and I don't know what to do. my site is http://www.beautyflyonline.com -

Inappropriate?I really did read/watch the info. Just missed the correct order. Now it works. Two questions:
(1) It says, "pending." in red next to the link. What does that mean and how do I get it to take action.
(2) If I can just add this on the blog page itself, what is to keep others from adding links to my page?
I suspect the two are related somehow. What did I miss? -
Inappropriate? The pending just means that no one has click on it yet so the analytics is still pending.
Other people can't edit the page because they need to have your login info for the tool in order to make changes to your site. Only you have authoring privileges. -
Inappropriate?Ah, because the login in the browser is linked to the javascript? Ahem. A little slow this morning.
-
Inappropriate?Exactly. The signin on Triggit is tied to the javascript on the page.
-
Inappropriate?I keep getting Login Failed: Have you placed your Javascript on this site? I've tried placing it in the header, footer, post, and index templates. I think the problem is that there are no opening and closing body tags in any of those templates. Seems weird, but i'm clueless when it comes to html/css. I even stuck the code in those templates with an opening and closing body tag and it still gives me that error.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?I keep getting the same error message. I've tried logging in and out but it still works. I checked the page source and the javascript is in my website, yogapurrs.com, but I keep getting the error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate? We are working on figuring out what is going on right now, what is the website you have added the code to?
-
Inappropriate? You seem to have the code in the correct place. I am having our tech team check it out right now to determine what is going on.
Occasionally this message is generated when your username/password is incorrect. Double check that upon login and see if that does the trick. -
Inappropriate?I am trying out Triggit. I am running wordpress 2.3.2 on my own server. I have the code placed after the <body> tag in my header template, and also in the wp-admin header template.
If I try to login to triggit while simply viewing the post, the login screen just hangs and never does anything. This error is in my error console:
Error: [Exception... "Cannot convert WrappedNative to function" nsresult: "0x8057000d (NS_ERROR_XPC_CANT_CONVERT_WN_TO_FUN)" location: "JS frame :: http://triggit.com/tool/javascripts/j... :: anonymous :: line 1" data: no]
Source File: http://triggit.com/tool/javascripts/j...
Line: 1
When I try to login while in the write/edit post screens (blog admin), I get the Login Failed: Have you placed your Javascript on this site?" error. I have upgraded to the latest firefox 2.0.0.12.
Any ideas? site is at www.triathlontrainingblog.com </body>
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I have this problem still on my wordpress blog. I can log in fine at the triggit site, but not from my toolbar. I have placed the code in the header, but the triggit site still says it is verifying the site. It works ok on another site of mine.

Inappropriate?I finally got trigger into my wordpress file
