Recently active topics in TripIt

I'll be staying with a friend on an upcoming trip, and since I'm coordinating my travel with several people, some of whom I'll be staying with as well, I'd like each to know where I'll be along the way.

I don't want to add a hotel... and "activity" isn't quite right. Seems like "Lodging" or "Accommodations " could serve as either Hotel or "staying with a friend"... Then you could let me specify the template (hotel, staying with a friend, camping, etc) once I get to the current "Add Hotel" form.

A few weeks ago, I booked a flight, got a confirmation email, and remembered I wanted to try Tripit. I went to the website and easily found the email address to send it to. It worked great, and I was very excited to try it again.

Yesterday I booked another flight and got the email confirmation. I was excited to forward it to Tripit, but when I started to type in "tripit" into my Gmail's To: box, it came up with no results. I realized that I had forgotten the email address, and Gmail doesn't autocomplete on the domain part of an email address. I was stuck and frustrated.

My friend and I brainstormed possible email addresses, and right before we gave up, we tried plans@tripit.com and it worked.

It would be much easier to not have to remember "plans@" and instead be able to forward my itineraries to "tripit@tripit.com."

Lots of stuff you might not have thought of!

If TripIt let me associate my Plazes, Dopplr and Upcoming accounts, you could take any of my future trips/events that I've marked as attending and let me generate a new trip from them.

Essentially you would provide a view of events from each service (denoted with the favicon) and a link to "Create a trip itinerary for this event". It would ROCK.

It would be great if tripit could update fire eagle with my position if i want to.
