Flights that cross the international date line west-to-east are not handled well
This is based upon my experience with an itinerary I added a few months ago and on which have recently completed all travel. I therefore do not know if this problem has been addressed since then.
My itinerary included flight UA 840 (MEL-SYD-LAX). The SYD-LAX leg of this flight leaves Sydney at 1:50pm and arrives Los Angeles at 10:21am the *same day*. This is, of course, due to crossing the international date line, which going west-to-east sets local time back by 24 hours.
This itinerary caused tripit.com to bump the arrival date ahead by one day.

Inappropriate? Thanks for letting us know. Timezones are always a bit tricky especially when crossing the international dateline. I'd love to take a look at your account and investigate further. Can you please contact me at support@tripit.com? Thanks.
