No support for offline trip access in TripIt for iPhone
TripIt for iPhone *must* support offline trip access to be useful. Why doesn't it?
I thought that the whole point of this app was to make it possible to have access to trip information without web access (critical for foreign travel, or in travel to places with limited connectivity).
Is there a reason why there's no offline access to trip data?

There are still some kinks to work out with respect offline access. There's a fix in the works (version 1.2) which should be available soon in the App Store.
In the mean time, you can set your TripIt sync options to once a day to minimize the chances that your trips will be wiped out. To do this, go to 'Settings', scroll to the TripIt App, select 'Check for updates' and choose '1 day'.
Hope this helps a bit. Thanks for your patience on this.

Hrm, ok. Whenever I sync, close the app, and then reopen it without a connection, the data is gone. I'll see if changing the refresh time changes things. Looking forward to the fix! -
Inappropriate?I have the same problem, if the app hasn't synced within 24 hours and I open it, it just deletes the contents if it can't sync and sometimes it's awkward to make sure the sync is done, especially without running up data roaming fees, or in countries where that's not available.

Inappropriate? This is a known issue and is not currently working as designed. Keep an eye out for the 1.2 update which should fix the issue. Should be available in the App Store soon. Sorry for the inconvenience. And, thanks for your patience, Jason.
