A few videos not storing or playing back correctly
Some DVD's are not playing back correctly. For example, I have a station ID video which shows "PGC 1: 00:00:10" in the DVD Import 4.5.9 Build 2, but when played back from the content drive, although the video is played in full by the Windows Media Player, the time in the bottom left stops at 2 seconds. When broadcast, that's all we see - the 2 seconds.

It sounds like something with the format of the DVD is tricking up DVD Import. The first thing I'd like you to try is running our FixMPEG utility. You can find it at http://labs.trms.com/fixmpeg/
This application will do its best to find incompatible codecs and framerates and fix them up so they can be played back correctly. Post here whether or not this works for you. Thanks!

I'm left hanging here. Please take a look at my question below and advise. Thank you! ~ Mary Ellen -
Inappropriate?Hi ~ Not sure I'm understanding instructions. It says to drag a bunch of mpeg2 files into the window. The only mpeg files I have are in my content file, but the browser doesn't show them individually. When I try to drag the whole content file over, the window displays:
Error E:\Movie\EncoderDefault.prd: Please install ffmpeg.exe into C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Directory 4 for FixingMpeg
Should I? The instructions above say not to run ffmpeg.exe
I’m confused

When you say "The browser doesn't show them individually" do you mean your web browser? I should have been more clear, but you'll want to drag the video file you're having a problem with from the content drive into the FixMpeg program. It will then spit out a new file where you've specified under "output". Replace this new file in the content drive of the video server and try playing it back again.

Exactly. The web browser displays a folder for the content drive, but it doesn't open to display individual video files. Is it possible to drag a video file directly from the content file to the fixmpeg window? I think I tried that, but I will try it again. Thanks. ~ Mary Ellen -
It is possible to drag files directly from the content folder, but you need to be viewing the control folder like any other folder on your computer, and not through internet explorer. IE doesn't allow for the drag and drop moving of files like you're looking for.
