Announcing Carousel 5.1.6 & 5.2.1
Today we are releasing Carousel 5.1.6 and 5.2.1. In the 5.1.6 release we made modifications to the Template Editor, Alert Bulletins, Groups, and Picture Blocks. The 5.2.1 release includes improvements to the Template Editor, Carousel Screen Saver, and Digital Clock bulletins amongst others.
We are excited about the new features added to the Template Editor which allow for more sophisticated, eye-catching design. Blocks can now be rotated, reordered behind or in front of other blocks, and the block you are working on is highlighted for precision. You may be wondering why we have added new features into a maintenance release. Well, I am excited to share that Tightrope Creative will be opening their online store shortly, allowing for the purchase of their predesigned Channels. The additions to the Template Editor assisted the Creative department in conceptualizing some of their ideas that were previously limited in Carousel. Stay tuned to see how they have pushed Carousel design to the limit, you will be impressed!

Bug 3421: underscores in the picture block name
Underscore characters were removed from the spaces in the Picture Block name.
Bug 2994: RSS Alerts finish as active bulletins
RSS Alert bulletins are now managed from the Active Alert Bulletins list instead of Active Bulletins list, as all other Alert bulletins (Standard and Weather) are managed.
Bug 3062: Typo when editing groups
The word 'to' has been replaced by 'do' in the group editing page.
Bug 3447: Copy/Move a crawl bulletin shouldn't allow for saving to a bulletin package
The option to Copy a Crawl bulletin into a Bulletin Package has been removed as it has never had that functionality.

Bug 3553: Format drop-down menu is empty for digital clock bulletin in IE
Fixed a conflict preventing format options to display when running Carousel in Internet Explorer.
Bug 3542: Potential 'file in use' issue with clock bulletin
Resolved file conflict issue that was causing an error message when creating and editing Clock Bulletins.
New 3532: Custom time format for digital clock bulletin now translates | (pipe) character to a line break
Customize your Digital Clock bulletins using | (pipe) in conjunction with the Format Pattern Legend.
Bug 3533: Edits to uploaded Clock bulletins revert to host system's default background
If a Clock Bulletin was export from one Carousel system and uploaded to another Carousel system; the background of the clock would revert to the background of the host system upon edit. The backgrounds for Clock Bulletins are now stored permanently.
Bug 3435: Adding a Web Picture block to a template causes an error
Fixed code so that Web Pictures are added properly.
Bug 3437: Clone tool binds to wrong licensing dll
A typo in the build script path prevented the licensing from being read properly, requiring a channel addition before importing the desired channel. The Clone import/export tool for Channels, Zones, and Media no longer requires prior setup.
Bug 3338: Block Name appends 1's to it's name when changes are made
In the Template Editor, every time the 'Update' button for Block Name was selected (and the Block Name remained the same) a 1 was appended to the name. Now the update only occurs when the Block Name is actually changed.
New 3472: Blocks can now be rotated in the Template Editor
The new field 'Rotate' in the template editor allows you to rotate blocks in degrees.
New 3351: Change order of the Block list after template is created
In the Template Editor you can now move a Block behind or in front of another Block for unique design. You can do this by clicking the 'Move Back' or 'Move Up' buttons located on the far right of the 'Select Block' field.
Bug 3461: Screen Saver Options screen grays out 'Apply' option.
In the Carousel Pro and Carousel Enterprise Screen Saver the 'Apply' button now functions after the Channel output is changed.
