From what I understand, the cablecast documentation is under going rewriting. The last version is for 4.2:

There are also some quickstart guides for version 4.7.5

As far as those version 5 guides you are seeing... Those are for Carosuel. Cablecast is only at version 4.8 which is now in open beta for SX owners:

Hi JJ,
I appreciate your quick reply, unfortunately when I go to the URL I get an error:
"This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it"
Perhaps there was a typo in the URL? -
