Inappropriate?Hi Wink,
Hmm, are there any additional details or messages that come with the 500 error? And just to double check, when you tried going to localhost in your browser, did you do that from the Carousel server's desktop, rather than the player?

I’m puzzled

Inappropriate?Hi John,
Yeah, it was from the desktop, based on the suggestions I found here..no luck. The error messages are:
1. Bug Staus Error: The remote server returned an error: (500) internal server error
2. Cannot open database requested login 'FrontDoor40' Login Fails.
3. Uxpected Error, in red when trying to load the front door interface..
Any help is appreciated! -
Inappropriate?Sounds like the database is no longer allowing granting the webserver access, for some reason.
On the server, there should be a DatabaseManager tool in D:\TRMS\Tools. Run that tool, and there should be a tab called "User Management" (or something similar... I don't have it in front of me, so I'm pulling all of this from memory).
In that tab, it should list the accounts on the system that are allowed to access the database. See if the "ASPNET" account is listed. If not, try adding it to the list, and reboot. If it is listed, try removing it, then re-adding it, then reboot.
The reboot steps might not be 100% necessary, but it's generally a good idea when changing settings like this... It ensures that all the services start up with the new settings correctly.
This should re-grant the webserver access to read from the database. Let us know how that goes.

I’m hopeful

Inappropriate?thanks John! I will try this out and get back to you!!

Inappropriate?Hi John,
no luck, the same error messages keep popping up..i tried removing and re-adding the following as what you said:
CLBPRO/ASPNET
Then re-booted, no luck. -
Inappropriate?Hmm, one more thing to check..
In that same tool, on the first tab you should see a list of the databases that are attached. Should include FrontDoor40, Carousel40, and Cablecast40. Do you see all three in the attached databases list? Or is FrontDoor40 missing by chance?
If all three are present and accounted for, then I think we need a support engineer to VNC in and take a look, as it probably needs more investigating that what I can do here on the forum.
You can submit a trouble ticket for them on our website at http://www.trms.com/community (look for the "Trouble Ticket" link). Be sure to copy/paste in the link to this forum topic so they can read up on what we've tried.

Inappropriate?Hi John,
Having a problem accessing the severs:
Here is the error message:
Unauthorized Access
or Session Timeout.
License key is not licensed for this hardware.
Please login through the main login page.
If you are still having problems please contact the system administrator.
Joe from tightrope had been in the system and done a backup restore of all the databases I think, but I can get into front door, but the license deal is popping up when i try to click on cablecast or corousel.. -
A new topic was started for this new unlicensed issue, and I just left a reply over here: http://gsfn.us/t/5fom --John
