Carousel Display on Cablecast PC
Good Morning,
For some reason our Carousel display is being shown on our Cablecast PC, I am unable to access front door on this Cablecast machine and cannot shut down the Carousel feed without reboot. When I do Carousel reloads. I am able to access front door and Cablecast through our network.
Any ideas why this is happening and how rectify it? Thanks!

Inappropriate?Keith,
First of all, you should be able to exist the Carousel Display Engine application by holding the Q key on the keyboard for a few seconds.
As far as what is causing this, f you recently did an update, it's possible that the incorrect distribution of the Carousel software got installed on the Cablecast machine. Do you know what type of machine it is? Is it an SX server? Also, please let us know what version of Carousel is installed. You can find this by going to:
Control Panel and then to:
Add / Remove Programs.
We are looking for either "Carousel" or "Carousel Framework". If it is an SX server, the framework should be installed. If Carousel is installed it would explain this issue. -
Inappropriate?Hi Brandon,
Thanks for the info. We are using a VS4 server.
Running Carousel 5.2.6 Build 36.
Thanks!
I’m indifferent

Inappropriate?Keith,
The fact that you're running Carousel explains why the Display Engine is starting up. This won't have a negative effect on the system. If you don't want the Display Engine to start oin boot up, you can remove the shortcut in Start : Programs : Startup
