CG Exempt won't "stick"
CG Exempt won't "stick" for some of my cablecast shows, not all of them.
When I either click on the show record from the schedule, or pull up the show by it's ID number, I can see that the CG Exempt box is ticked. I've resaved these show records, run auto pilot yet, the shows still show up on my dynamically generated Carousel schedule.
I can manually exempt each run of the show via the schedule page Lock and Exempt options and this does work.
Basically I don't need PSAs or multisegmented shows coming up on the schedule.
How can I fix this so that cablecast and carousel recognize these shows as CG exempt?
Also, any suggestions on workflow to prevent this sort of glitch in the future.

Inappropriate?We have the same issue.

Inappropriate?I may have solved my problem and figured out my workflow.
So back to the original issue:
In the image below I have ShowID 43, on the schedule the "E" icon is not active. Clicking the show title I get the Edit Show page with CG Exempt checked, suggesting to me that this show should be exempt/not show up in my dynamically generated schedule.
The show does appear in my schedule.
Then I noticed the "Details" icon on the schedule page. Clicking this brings up the "Advanced Setting" page. Despite the CG Exempt checkbox being checked under the Edit Show page, it is not checked on this Advanced Setting page.
So I checked the box and saved. Now, back on my schedule page, ShowID 43 displays a blue "E" icon. If I randomly move forward to next week in my schedule and schedule in ShowID 43, it continues to show up as CG Exempt.
For now this seems to work. Will follow up later if I'm proven wrong.
I’m unsure

Inappropriate?Hey DJ,
While your situation is definitely frustrating, its actually expected behavior. Here is why.
There are two places in Cablecast where you can mark something as CG Exempt. One is a Show record, the other is a Run Event.
The place where CG Exempt really matters is in Run Events because these are what actually make up your schedule.
When you mark a Show Record as CG Exempt what your really doing is marking a preset telling Cablecast "Anytime I schedule this show, automatically mark the Run Event as CG Exempt".
The problem your running into is that when you click on the show title in the schedule you are actually bringing up the Show Record and editing it. This does not affect the CG Exempt Status of Event Runs because those runs have already been made, changing the preset for the show doesn't do anything. However if you go somewhere else in your schedule and schedule that same show again, that Run will now be CG Exempt.
When you click on the details of an event run, you are actually modifying that Event. Which is why marking it as CG Exempt actually causes that Run to be CG Exempt. Clicking in the greyed out E would have the same effect, marking that specific Run as CG Exempt.
What I do, and what I gather most other stations do as well, is mark PSA and Filler Show Records as CG Exempt when we first make them, before we've scheduled them at all. That way every time we schedule them the runs default to CG Exempt.
Hope this helps.
