Changing record times on a live event
It seems that when you set a record on a live event then go back and change the time of the live event and the record in the schedule, the record still happens at the original time. The only work around is to go into the event table and change. Anyone else having this issue?

Inappropriate?I think of it as two different actions. The first is just scheduling the event, which tells the router to switch the channel output to your live source. The second is telling the encoder to start recording (via the "details" link). I had fits with this at first, as well, until I started thinking of them as two separate actions. Hope that helps.
I’m feelin' ya, Randy

Inappropriate?Yes, except that we use the 'Record Run' button in the details screen, which is automatically setting the record function (which is great by the way). So it's natural to think that when you change a time in the playback schedule, the record run would follow suit.
Now if I had scheduled a recording SEPARATELY from the record run box, then yes, I would think of the two as separate events.
I have learned that I need to make two changes when I change the time of such an event...but it would be a nice improvement if I didn't have to.

Inappropriate?Oh, I agree. As I said, I had fits the first couple of times I had a live event change times or get canceled. I consider it just getting to know the quirks of the workflow. Ya gotta screw up a few times before you really get to know the subtleties (and to answer your next question, yes, I've been known to over analyze things).
