Commercials on VOD startup
Still trying to build a case for going with Cablecast. Looking for revenue options to pay for it. Is it possible (or a possible feature request) with VOD to have a startup advertsiement? So, like I click to watch my favorite show and before it begins playing I see a 30 second commercial for the local pizza place?
I’m really wishing I had the whole Cablecast package right now...

While not a function of Cablecast, Windows Media Services should allow you to set this up. (We use WMS to provide our VOD files.)
Take a peek at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/wind... and see what you think, it looks like WMS can be configured to play a lead-in video whenever someone clicks on a link.
