Dealer question about live video!!!
We have a government client that would like to use a live video feed from a dispatch computer. We have the computer connected to a Carousel Solo 220 via the CAR-TVI adapter and an Extron scan converter. But the results are unacceptable. Rather than feeding the Solo 220 a low-resolution feed, can we use a USB VGA capture device and input screen shots to the Carousel via the live video function? The dispatch computer feed does not have to be refreshed at a high frame rate.

Inappropriate?Greg, we don't support any VGA to USB capture devices. I've never even seen one. If the VGA input needs to be composited in Carousel all the time, you could use an external video processor/scaler from Extron or TVOne to do a Picture in Picture (PIP) feature.
