Email Notification
I am having a problem receiving email notifications for bulletins pending approval. The emails will work but then will stop until I send a test email then they will start working again for a while. I just found a public health notice that was pending approval and I never received an email.

Inappropriate?Sean,
We've heard of this issue and have a test-instance running right now, we're just waiting for it to break so the developers can dig through the logs and see what exact part of the code is to blame. We'll make a post once we have a fix, thanks!

Inappropriate? How do you get the email notifications? That would be a very helpful feature that I have not heard of. Usually I just have the people doing the pages send me an email. Are you saying the carousel program can actually send me an email letting me know that pages are ready to be approved?

Inappropriate? You are correct! When you first login to FrontDoor, head into "Server Setup" and then into "Mail Settings." In this menu you want to enter the name or IP address of the e-mail server you have at your office (it must be SMTP). The bounce address is where messages that can't be sent get bounced back to, and the test field is so you can test that the e-mail is working.
Once you have that setup, enter Carousel, head to "Setup" and then "Email Setup." In this screen you can enter a list of people to notify when a bulletin has been added that needs approval.

That's the intention. [:)] To enable email notifications, go into the Server Setup:Mail Settings area of FrontDoor, and enter in a valid SMTP Mail Server that you can send mail from. The "Bounce Address" field is the address that "sends" the notifications, and will also be used in case the mail is undeliverable.
Once you've entered a valid SMTP Mail Server, you can test it by entering in your email address in the "Test Address" field and clicking the Test button. If all goes well, you should get a simple test email in your inbox.
After you've got FrontDoor setup, head on into the Setup:Channel:Email Setup area of Carousel. Here, you can turn on email notifications, and supply a list of address that get notified when new pages are submitted.
Hope that helps. Let us know if you've got more questions.
