Embedded Audio on Matrox SDI Box

I'm converting my channel to SDI. We have a Matrox box for our Carousel. I read online that the Matrox box can output embedded audio through the SDI output.

My question: is there anything I need to do to activate the embedded audio? Or is the audio already outputting when I connect the cable to the SDI output on the Matrox?

I’m awaiting an answer from someone more enlightened than I.
