Feature Request: Restricting Font Size and Font Types
I would like to see a feature where we could restrict or limit font types and font size. My staff knows that we can't use a font size smaller than 30 or a certain font on our bulletins, and while we tell other departments that info, it never seems to sink in.
I'm hoping that something could be done to restrict them like we can currently restrict transitions.

Inappropriate? To dovetail with this thread...Along with font size and font type, the one restriction that would be a big help to us would be total NUMBER of characters that could be on a single bulletin.
That way, when we set up a template for users to enter text into, having a limit at a certain number of chars (settable by the admin; we would probably set it to 210, which equals roughly 7 lines of text with 30 characters per line), the message would still be readable when it goes on the air. The restriction could follow the template or the user.
There could also be a button on that text entry page that allows a user to easily split their text-heavy message into two or more pages with the same title and background. For example, once the user attempts to enter more than the set number of chars, that button becomes active (or glows yellow or something!). I know we can do that right now, but it's several mouse clicks away from the text entry page. That's the place where it would be most convenient to the user.

I completely agree with that. It would save us time and frustration from fixing submitted bulletins. -
Inappropriate?Loud and clear, gentlemen! :)
FWIW, you can already restrict the available set of fonts on a zone just like you can with transitions... It's in the Zone Settings link off of the main menu:

As far as locking down to a minimum size, well, you can currently set a textblock to use a specific size (and color, style, etc) instead of autosize, and then remove the "edit templates" access right from your users. It won't scale the text larger if there's room to do so, but it won't get any smaller either. So, that's almost there.
And character limits for text blocks is definitely on our radar.
Thanks for the input, guys!
