Inappropriate?Dave,
Carousel should automatically fade down your background audio when a video is played. What version of Carousel are you running (click on the 'About' link from the Carousel web UI)? This was a bug in older versions of Carousel and I want to say was resolved in 5.0.5/5.1.3.
Email <support@trms.com> to request a software update.

Inappropriate?Grayson,
There is one video the background audio does not play over. The difference is that "promo" mpeg was created directly from a final cut pro editor. The rest of the promos were loaded from either a mini dv tape or uploaded from an external hard drive.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Dave,
Can you still hear the audio of the videos mixed with the BG audio when it doesn't fade, or only the BG audio?
Are you encoding the MiniDV content into FCP and then converting it into an MPEG? Were the existing files on the external hard drive made from FCP? It seems like some strange encoding issue that Carousel isn't liking. -
Inappropriate?Dave, do you have analog audio passing through the Carousel unit? Or are you using an upload list of MP3's?

Inappropriate? Thanks for everyone's help. I did not check "yes" on fad the audio for this bulletin. Thanks. Case Closed
I’m thankful

Inappropriate?I'm running into the same issue. I have a .WMV video and I am checking "yes" to fade the background. The video plays, but the background music is still up. I don't hear a "mix" of the two sources, just the background. Any thoughts?
