https: log in to front door?
Is it possible to have a higher level https address for users to log in to their Front Door accounts? Our IT department is concerned that the Front Door login is only http. They are citing this as the reason for not making our server live outside of the internal school network yet.

Inappropriate?Hey sdarlington,
If you're familiar with setting up IIS, I believe it is possible to install a certificate on the FrontDoor application so users can sign in using https. I wouldn't recommend putting Cablecast or Carousel under https just yet, as we have a couple features that don't currently work when accessed via SSL. FrontDoor, however, should work fine.
So, if you can secure just the FrontDoor application, your usernames/passwords will no longer be sent in plaintext, and the other applications will continue to function as normal.
