Importing into the SX-4
I am trying to use a program called carbon coder to encode video files for playback on a new SX-4 without any luck. Is there a specific Mpeg2 format that I should encode in?

Inappropriate?Rick,
I have not used that software, so I am not sure what options you have, but here are a few suggestions off the top of my head.
Video codec: MPEG2 IBP 4:2:0
Bit rate: 4 - 15 mbit (depending on content)
Frame rate: 29.97 fps (this has to be exactly 29.97, no exceptions)
Size: 720x480
Audio sample rate: 48 khz (this must be exact, no exceptions)
start there, if you are still having issues, go ahead and post what other choices you have and we can try to figure this one out together.
I’m excited

should a a FCP (.mov) be the same file size as an Mpeg 2 using these settings at VBR of 1.5 Mbp/s up to 8 mb/s?
