Interstitial length, Alert bulletins, and CableDisplay SingleSchedule bulletin
I do not understand the relationship between the interstitial length setting in Cablecast and the alert bulletins created in Carousel. Also, and more specifically, I would like the schedule of programs coming up alert bulletin to show between programs. How do I make that happen? I did read the manual regarding these topics but did not get much from that experience.

Inappropriate?Hello,
The interstitial acts as a minimum amount of time between programs. For example, if you set the interstitial to 15 seconds, autopilot will automatically bump any show that starts within 15 seconds of the end of a previous program.
The reason for this is that it gives your CG time to do its thing. If you set up CableDisplay to show the 'Repeat' graphic for 8 seconds, and the 'Next' graphic for 7 seconds, a 15 second interstitial makes sure that these bulletins are seen.
As far as creating a bulletin that shows what is coming up, you can use CableDisplay's single bulletin schedule bulletin. This bulletin will show a user-defined number of upcoming shows. Most customers set it to four or five shows.
To create the single bulletin schedule:
Log into carousel
Click on New Bulletin
Flip to the dynamic tab
click on CableDisplay Bulletin
Select 'Single bulletin schedule'
click Next
Select the Cablecast Channel you want the bulletin to get its information from.
Enter how may show records you want to display per page.
Click Next
From here it is just like a standard Carousel bulletin.
If you have questions, please let me know, I hope this helps clear it up.

Brandon, I am wondering if there is a way or will be a way in a future revision to have the "what's coming up in the schedule" bulletin play before and after each program during the interstitial. The reason being; the replay of a program often does not have the same program # (recorded live and the replay MPEG version of the program is assigned a different number) So the bulletin that says when the program replays does not help much, as it typically says that the program is not scheduled for replay. However if we could put up the Single Bulletin Display of what the schedule looks like for the rest of the day, this would be much more helpful. I understand that the "Next" graphic and the "Repeat" Graphic are the only two that will automatically play before and after a program. Can these be customized to show the "Whats coming up in the schedule" bulletin? -
Inappropriate?I was wondering if there was a way to attach a specific page before and after a specific show ID - many times we have a need to put a disclaimer with a specific producer name and # in front and behind a show's airing. Is there a way to dedicate a page to place in front a one or a group of show ids?
