Keep Show ID's in sequence
One of our shows that was created and aired in Sept. is not showing up now on VOD or cablecast search.
However, the show is on the server.
I recreated the show using the ID is was originally given (27).
The show now has Local ID 27 and show ID 31.
Is there a way to keep show id's in sequence?

Inappropriate?Here's the problem. There is no way for a user to "recreate" a show ID. That is assigned automatically in Cablecast, and it does so sequentially. That means you probably have created three other shows since the show in question. The Local ID is meant just for your own personal bookkeeping. It has no impact on Cablecast's operation. See if your original show ID (in this case 27) is listed under Show>Free Show IDs. If you see it in the list, click the number and make sure it's the right show. If not, go to Find Show, click the plus sign to add a search condition, and search for Show ID 27. If all else fails, just change the prefix on the server to 31.
Having said all that, Cablecast is supposed to create the Show ID's in sequence. If not, there could be a more sinister problem that would entail creating a trouble ticket.
