Hello Trevor,
One of our developers looked into the scenario you reported and Ray's response was right on.
http://gsfn.us/t/cfop
"The QTHelper app expects the 'video' to end, and when it ends sends a callback to Carousel telling it the video has ended and the bulletin has reached the end of its cycle.
Because a live stream has no end, the QTHelper app never sends the command to Carousel to move on to the next bulletin."
Since there is no way for Carousel to determine the end of the stream, we cannot support rtsp feeds.

Inappropriate?Does anyone have suggestions for live video on Carousel?
I've been trying to establish a live video feed either via quicktime broadcaster or via an axis camera. I While I cannot seem to use the "Live Video" feature (with rtsp://), I am able to upload a quicktime announcement file and that will play. However the Carousel then stops. That is, the Bulletins cycle, reach the live video and then show live video forever.
If I press the Escape key on the Carousel monitor computer, then the bulletins will cycle again, then stop at the live video.

Inappropriate?Hey Trevor,
This sounds a lot like the issue that Megan described in this topic: http://gsfn.us/t/cfop
Honestly, I'm not sure what the problem is with the video files staying on the screen, but we'll investigate ASAP.

Inappropriate?Trevor,
By chance is the feed you're viewing public so we can test it here? Or by chance could we get your Quicktime announcement file? You can e-mail it to support@trms.com
Thanks!

Inappropriate?Hello Trevor,
One of our developers is looking into this issue.
If the feed you're viewing is public or if we could get your Quicktime announcement file, we would like to take a peek!
Thank you!

Inappropriate?Hi Folks,
Have you had any reported problems of live video feeds from URLs getting stuck?
We have one running that cycles up to the live feed, then only shows the live feed until we hit 'escape' on the player. Setting the timing on the slide does not seem to matter.
Can you help me solve this mystery?
Thanks,
Megan

I’m wondering if we can solve this problem, and everyone can be happy.
