Lots of black before program starts.
Programs have 10 - 15 seconds of black before they start
We had this problem before when we first set up our tightrope.
I remember having to set the Interstitial time to correct for it before but I can't for the life of me find it in the front door.
Does anyone know how I can get programs to play without 10 to 15 seconds of black at the open.

Inappropriate?Hi,
First, the Interstitial Length setting is located at:
Cablecast/System Settings/Channels
As for the pre-roll issue, what is your source? Are you entering a "cue" time in each show record? Are you using the "Up Next" slide function? Is the pre-roll issue only between shows, or on ALL shows, no matter what comes before them?

Inappropriate? No we don't have any cue time set for the shows.
and yes it is about the same length of black every time a show goes to air. It also cuts out early on programs so to compensate we have been adding time to the end so it doesn't cut out early.
The time on the cablecast computer and the server computer are synced as well -
Inappropriate?I suggest there are some settings that need adjustment, and to do that, someone will need to beam in and look around. You might want to call support.

Inappropriate?Found the Interstitial time and its set for 0 Which means it's inactive. So that's not the problem.

Inappropriate?Well, under certain conditions, a "0" Interstitial Length setting my cause strange things to happen, including some of the issues you are experiencing.
Call support! They need to get a look at your system settings.

Inappropriate? Are these shows being played from a video server? If you have multiple TRMS machines, I wonder if the clocks between the servers have drifted a bit. Could that account for it?
If not, I agree with Mr. Goran, it's probably worthwhile to have our support gurus take a look around and see if there's anything strange going on.

Inappropriate?I've had that same problem too. The black has been where the "Up Next" slide should be.

Inappropriate?Brittany,
Do you have an active "Up Next" bulletin built?

Inappropriate?OK. What are your time settings for the "Up Next" and "Repeat" bulletins (how long are they set to run for?), what is your "Interstitial Length" setting, and, how much time do you leave between shows?
Also, what sources are you using? Server, etc.
