Monitoring audio of encoded files through sx4
Hi,
We have the Cablecast SX4. Files that we recorded playback fine over the air. Is there a way to monitor through speakers in the server when verifying encoded files? Computer shows video through windows media player, but doesn't recognize audio. Is there a way to hookup computer speakers or headphones?

Inappropriate?Does your setup have a "preview monitor" output? Depending on your router, you should be able to run video and audio to a standalone monitor and force the show to playback though the Autopilot. In our case, we dedicated one of our playback channels to our control room through the switcher and audio console, which we use to both roll video during live productions and to audit encoded files. Granted, it's not as straightforward as just using WMP, but it gets the job done. Plus, you get to see and hear it in all its NTSC glory...
I’m hopeful this helps

Inappropriate?Thank you. That's exactly what we tried and it works great.
I’m happily monitoring in NTSC!
