Multiple Tracks Conversion
We often record direct to DVD-Video in the field then bring back the discs and convert for server playback using DVD Import. We've run into a problem with discs that contain more than one track (title). DVD Import doesn't want to convert more than 1 track at a time so it will result in one file for later playback. Is there any way in DVD Import to convert ALL tracks on a disc into one single file? Is our only option to create one file per track?

Inappropriate?David,
Unfortunately the DVD Import software can't merge multiple tracks together, so they'll need to be recorded as a single track. Most DVD recording devices these days give you that option.

Inappropriate? Our Pioneer DVD recorders do provide the option of combining multiple tracks into one, and the discs playback fine. But after converting a disc with DVD Import, the second (and subsequent) track's audio is always out of sync with the video.

Inappropriate?David, have you tried hitting "pause" instead of "stop" on your field DVD recorder in between segments? That's what we do when we're recording something in segments onto a DVD. That way you end up with one title instead of several. It's not always possible, but when it is, we do that so it'll be easier to rip in using DVD Import...

Inappropriate? We used to do it that way, but on long breaks, the DVD recorder would come out of pause mode anyway. The problem is that mosdt of the breaks are rather long. Typically 30 to 40 minutes.
I think what we'll end up doing is just airing the first time from DVD while letting the SX-2 encode (although we've had some issues with that method as well).
