New Frontdoor install deletes customer Information and validation key?
I was able to upgrade FrontDoor Release Version: 5.3.1 Build 95 and the new Cablecast 5.2.2, but now can't get in to cablecast or carousel.
I can log in to Front Door, but the licensing gives me this error
"Could not read license data. License key is not licensed for this hardware. "
Suggestions? The channel is running blind right now, and there's no method to update or modify the last autopilot.

Inappropriate?SCTV17,
Sorry to here you had problems during the update. Good news is we were able to resolve this with a new license key for your system. So far there have been no additional reports of this happening with the 5.3.1 update. I am not sure what caused it to happen with your system, but it appears to be an isolated incident.

Inappropriate?I remember this happening before with a previous FrontDoor update - it might be because we're using a non-standard port forwarding configuration (not 8080). The update key fixed the issue. Thanks!

Inappropriate?SCTV,
Interesting. Did you have to edit any of your config files after this update? Only reason I ask is the installers should no longer overwrite those config settings. However if you did loose some of your custom entries let me know and we can fix that in a future release.

Inappropriate? When I couldn't access Cablecast and Carousel through FrontDoor, I tried to roll back to the previous versions - that didn't work either. Then I tried to use a saved CustomerInfo.dat file and swapped the 'new' and old ones. No change. So I do think some files were overwritten with the new update, but not positive which ones.
Reinstalling the key fixed the issue, but tracking down the problem to avoid future install problems would be a good idea.

Inappropriate?Tom,
I did not realize you tried rolling back to an older version. That might explain why you lost your license. I have had this process cause me headaches in the past.
The 'CustomerInfo.dat' file is only used for the TRMS support tool. When you type your contact info into the support tool it saves that infomation to this file.
It might be best if we observe your next software update. That would allow us to troubleshoot this further.
