No signal on Carousel displays
We have a Carousel Enterprise server and 3 220 Solo hooked to 52" and 42" LG LCDs. Everything works correctly, but at random periods the TVs will go into power standby. When you turn them back on, Carousel starts play as it should.
I've checked all the settings on the TV (no sleep) and on the Solo (no screen blanker or powersave).
I've caught the TVs every so often with a "no signal" display. If you power down the display and back on, everything immediately begins playing as it should.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Inappropriate?Paul,
By chance does your system use our Monitor Control software to turn the displays on and off via RS-232? What type of video connection are you using to connect the displays to the 220's?

Inappropriate? We don't have the Monitor Control installed (although we could the LGs are supposed to have serial ports).
The PCs stay on all the time (altough they restart every morning at 6:30 am, which was a something I tried to try to fix the problem).
I use the internal timer on the LGs menu to set on time to 6:30 am and off at 11:59 pm (that all seems to work correctly).
But during the day, the screens will just go black. I've caught some of them with the No Signal display, but others will be playing and then a few minutes later (about 5 min), I come back by and they're black. -
Inappropriate?Paul,
We have 2 LG 42" LCD TVs that I had to a very similar problem with.
I was finally able to get into the service menu and turn off their hidden power save mode. You can't see it in the normal menus. It is only something that can be changed in the service menu. Right now, I don't have that procedure in front of me. But I did document it. There may be a chance it is the same for your models. You could also call LG. It took some pressure to get them to give me the info, but they finally did. We have not had any problems since. I think that setting is part of the Energy Star compliance. But not sure. Since our TVs are on from 8am to 10pm. We needed to get that figured out.
If you want me to try to dig out my documentation, let me know. It might be safer to call LG and get the specific info on your model numbers.
I hope this helps.

Inappropriate?I found the LG hidden menu access procedure on-line. I can now get into two different menus that are normally hidden.
One has a 2-Hour Power option (that was set to On, I set it to Off) and the other has a Power Status Option with over a hundred suboptions.
Which options could be the one causing my problems?
Thanks

Inappropriate? My notes say the Option 10 - 2 hour off option is what you want to change. That should keep them on as long as you need them.
My notes say nothing of those other settings. I would leave them alone.
Good Luck
