No sound driver

Good Monday to you. Seems our repaired VSX was sent back without a sound driver. I thought this was fixed, but the guy who helps me out with IT issues just informed me that, "I only succeeded in getting the legacy driver working, which may not have been the optimal..."
We just had power restored since an ice storm hit last Thursday and I'm on my way to the station to get us broadcasting again, but it's no good if there isn't sound! ~ Mary Ellen
