The #outlook# variable does however.
It was suggested that we should choose another county that our feed may be down. We chose a few others with the same result.
Can someone help us with this? What are the standard variable names and formats for temperature and wind?

Obviously there is something is going on with the weather bulletins. However, we have not been able to recreate this behavior in-house. It would be very helpful if you could send us some of your weather data. The first thing we need to determine is the GUID of your weather bulletin. If you mouse over the Preview on the bulletin you will notice there is something like "Type=Page&ID=3660a74f-2076-4d50-8108-59943e4aa560" at the bottom of your browser, which is the GUID.
Then navigate to \TRMS\Web\Carousel\Media\Pages and locate the file with the same GUID.
Once you have located the folder with the same GUID, please zip the file and email it to bugs@trms.com.
Are you seeing this behavior intermittently and if so, how frequently?

Sorry, Phil that was directed at mkoening. Phil would you be willing to email me your weather data (directions outlined in this string)? Is this an intermittent problem for you and if so how frequently does it occur?

Inappropriate?We are having a similar issue. Previously created weather bulletins are not refreshing and displaying outdated content.
New weather bulletins are only displaying #temp#, #outlook#, etc.
I'll go see if I can find the information posted above and send that along.

I only see

no web folder. Am I looking in the right place?

Hello Cor,
Click on 'Explore' from the Windows Start Menu on your Carousel server and navigate to the TRMS folder which contains the Web folder. If you cannot locate the Web folder you are searching on a Player versus a server. -
Inappropriate?Hi Jennifer, I got onto the server and found the page, but I don't know how to zip it. The computer only runs the server, so there are not a lot of programs on it (do I need a zip program?)

If you have Windows installed on the server, you should be able to right click on the folder and "Send To", "Compressed (zipped) folder". If you are unable to zip and send that data, don't worry about it. We have had a great response to our request! I really appreciate your willingness to help! :-)

Inappropriate?For some reason the current weather conditions do not seem to be updating. I think it has been going on for about a week.
I have tried the following:
*Choose a different area (I tried other counties here in Indiana and even tried Florida). All display 46 degrees with calm winds.
*Stopped and restarted Carousel.
*Restarted server.
*Copied slide.
*Checked with our network guy to make sure that port 21 was open.
No matter what I did the conditions would not change. Here is the channel (looks a little screwed up since it is an 800x75 zone): http://frontdoor.cps.k12.in.us/Carous...
Any ideas?

Inappropriate?If this is happening accross multiple systems, mulitiple couties/cities, and has just "recently" happened im guessing that there has been a change in the feeds provided for the weather, not the many systems. Ill wait untill Tightrope figures this out, and then we'll make our changes.

I've been actively working on replacing the data feeds for the past several days... It's my number 1 priority right now. There's still a fair amount of work left to go, but rest assured, we're on it. I'll post again when we have a better idea of when a solution will be available. Thanks everyone for your patience! --John

Sorry that this is taking a while, but we're doing a major renovation of how weather works in Carousel. It's not a quick fix, unfortunately. I've finished a majority of the implementation so far, now we need to run it through test to make sure it holds up in the field. Again, we'll be sure to update this thread as soon as we are confident in a release date. --John
