Question about video servers
I know video servers are used to store videos, but how exactly does a person download videos versus streaming them to their hard drive? Do video servers have that capability or is it something else entirely?
I have this question, too!

Inappropriate?Content to/from a video server is usually done via normal file transfer, ie: FTP or simple drag&drop through a windows/macintosh interface. The video servers we sell do indeed store the video content locally, but they can also access remotely stored files as well in some cases. If you wanted to extract the files from the video server instead of simply play/stream them, you would need to access that server or enable file sharing to be able to copy them elsewhere on the network.
